My main research interests lie in Ancient Greek numismatics, particularly in the Archaic and Classical periods. I am interested in the early development of coinage as well as in the iconography and visual language of ancient coins. In my doctoral thesis, I investigate the coinage of ancient Croton from the 6th to the 3rd century BC. It was funded by the Berlin Graduate School of Ancient Studies within the doctoral programme “Ancient Objects and Visual Studies”.
I studied Classical Archaeology and Library and Information Science at the Humboldt University of Berlin. Since November 2020 I have been working for the CHANGE project to research the development of the monetary economy of ancient Anatolia (circa 630 – 30 BC).
